A New Year is here! My hopes for Snuggled Up in 2013 are to help other school districts and reach out to more children in the Dayton area. I have contacted Trotwood Madison, Mad River, Centerville, and Beavercreek Schools. Mad River has contacted me back and as we speak they are coming up with a plan of attack to help their students in need of bedding.
Branching out is exciting but at the same time a bit stressful. I usually only have to email or call people I actually know. Now I am reaching out and I don't want to sound dumb or like my typical 'blonde' self...hee hee. I sometimes get wrapped up in others thinking and I need to stop it. I need to stop wondering what others think and just do what I know is right for these kids. I am not perfect....I so far from perfect that I may be the antonym for the word. In the end I want to know that I tried to make a difference in a child's life, and if saying the wrong thing sometimes gets me to that end point I'll be okay.
I'm wishing all of you a healthy and happy start to this new year and I pray that I am continually blessed with the support and love I receive from family, friends, strangers, and you.
