Dear Friends,
It is only the 8th day in December, but I have to send out this months updates for Snuggled Up Inc. because I am overwhelmed with kindness and generosity!
- So far in these last 8 days…. I have handed out 18 Snuggle Kits to children in need!
- I have collected monetary donations equaling $870 (it’s in the bank waiting for me to go shopping!) This money came from A senior citizen group from Vandalia, a grant written to the Northridge STEF Committee, and many awesome individuals who just gave money to give!
- 9 whole kits have been donated to me as well as miscellaneous items to supply future kits!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
What’s next? We still have 70 kids on our waiting list here at Morrison. I will be a busy bee shopping in the next week trying to get more kits out before break. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Hugs and Happiness to your family,
Trisha Baxter
I want to leave you with a touching story:
Yesterday I asked one of my kids about his bed that his mom picked up yesterday:
I asked, “So your Mommy came up here to pick some stuff up yesterday?” He said, “Yeah, our bed kits.” “Oh I said, well, how were the beds?” He said, “Well, we didn’t get to have it yet. Mommy is wrapping them up for us for Christmas, they are our only presents.” My heart melted.
