It's Friday!!! Wow this school year I flying by! We have scheduled our next days of giving, April 10th 5-7 pm and April 13th 2-4 pm. I am hoping having 2 options and times will bring more families to headquarters to pick up their Snuggle Kits.
As I grow with Snuggled Up I've been changing and evolving. I see minor things everyday and wonder how I can do this better, what would make this more efficient and better for families. I've changed the air mattress to a cot with a washable top/pad. It runs about $56. I then put the bedding and pillow in a vaccummed seales Ziploc bag. I found that families getting more then 3 kits were not able to fit the kits in their vehicles.
Great news!!! Snuggled Up won a Grant for $1500 from CJ High School! There will be a presentation in May to receive our check and my dear couain, Tara, who is also Snuggled Ups Secretary, will be representing Snuggled Up. I also joined a Cincinnati High School, Mount Notre Dame, school for girls, to be a panalist for senior girls volunteering for non profits. I was able to hear 5 young women speak and present. Then I was able to give comments and praise them for their efforts with their volunteering organizations.
So...lighter notes....my whole family was puking since my last blog, I survived and (knock on wood) never got that fun bug. Now we are dealing with sinus issues. My youngest daughter, Tinley, loves saying 'penis' and will tell anyone and everyone she would like to eat it for dinner and lunch...I'm not kidding.
Well...my meeting is over...I suppose thos blog shall be done as well....
